The "UltraBLOK" system consists of an electric drive mechanism located on the RPM housing, a blocking device located in the RPM crankcase stocking, a wiring harness, a push-button switch and a control controller.
Taking into account the peculiarities of the system operation on off-road vehicles, the external elements of the system, such as the electric drive mechanism and the connecting blocks of the harness, are made in a dust and water tight design with a degree of protection of at least IP67, and are also located in the places most protected from damage - between the stiffening ribs of the RPM housing with reverse away from the forward direction of the vehicle.
Principle of operation
The switching on of the RPM differential lock occurs as follows: when the switch button is pressed, the controller switches on for 10 seconds. energizes the electric drive mechanism, which cocks the spring of the blocking device. Under the influence of the spring force, the sliding blocking clutch moves and rigidly connects the wheel drive with the driven gear of the main gearbox pair, blocking the differential. RPM can be in the blocked state for a long time, including when the power supply of the UltraBLOCK system is turned off. This is due to the fact that the mechanical force of the spring of the locking device is used to hold the lock both from self-shutdown and from self-switching.
Disabling the blocking is done by pressing the control button again, the controller within 10 seconds. supplies reverse voltage to the electric drive mechanism, and then as when turned on, but in the opposite direction.
Advantages
The most important positive feature of the blocking device of the "UltraBLOK" system, unlike other known systems, is that during its installation and operation, no changes or modifications are made to the differential itself. "UltraBLOK" does not interfere with the work of the differential gear, the blocking device is attached directly to the driven gear of the main pair of RPM with standard bolts and directly blocks the rotation of the drive relative to the driven gear of the main pair.
